Blake and Kasey Ford remember meeting in their middle school Gifted & Talented class, but they think they may have met many years before in a pasture behind his grandparent’s house. They ignored one another at the time because neither of them was very interested in the opposite sex. In high school, the two became fast friends because they shared many of the same extracurricular activities. Afternoon and weekend theater practices were soon the highlight of their day.

Blake finally asked Kasey to be his girlfriend on September 30 of 2002. They ended up at Sam Houston State University together, where they both finished their Bachelors degrees.
